November 4-10th was Occupational Therapy Week at British Home, and our OT team organised a fantastic range of activities to celebrate the work that they do at British Home.
The week was full of activities for residents and staff beginning on Monday with an energetic wheelchair dance class. People followed specially devised choreography and danced along to some well-known tunes. Elsewhere, the OTs and a family volunteer led the residents in baking delicious chocolate muffins. Towards the end of the week we were visited by the Brixton Ballers, and a huge number of our residents and staff spent the morning playing basketball.
This week was a great opportunity to show case the diversity of occupational therapy, and for our residents to engage in new and exciting activities, but also a fun and interactive way for us to celebrate our fantastic OT team at British Home.
